There are so many aspects of our life with which we need to develop harmony. Some of these aspects are work, family, play, leisure, relaxation, caring for others, caring for ourselves, social consciousness, political consciousness, environmental consciousness, religious beliefs and activities, physical needs.
People mistake being balanced as to being calm, relaxed, and content all the time. Rather balance is itself a feeling more to do with physical and mental attributes of life. When thoughts and feelings are in harmony with your actions, balance is achieved naturally without any stress. We are all living in a universe where everything is connected. We have to realise that whatever transpires in our life constantly gets affected by energy around us. Being aware of this connection is very important.
Many times balance is a choice, peace over conflict, trust over fear, value over judgement. You are in harmony when not in mental conflict, letting go is the easiest way to be balanced. Peace and love ultimately lead to balance.
Every part and organ of the body needs to be preserved in a way that creates harmony between body and mind. The body has to be cleansed everyday to feel good and refreshed; so one can think of working with clarity. Nature always creates balance.
