Guruji Shri Rishi Prabhakar, an Indian philosopher and spiritualist, is the founder of Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra (RSVK). Guruji developed the Siddha Samadhi Yoga (SSY) programme, and many other programme run in his organisation. He has catalysed the spiritual awakening and is the beacon of one’s spiritual journey all around the world.

Life

Guruji was born in 1948 at Chikkabalapur, Karnataka. He graduated from Bangalore University with a degree in engineering. Later, he relocated to Ottawa, Canada to pursue his further education. After moving back to India and starting his mission for spiritual upliftment of mankind.

Guruji got married to his wife, Arundhati Rishi Prabhakar in 1999. They were blessed with a son Siddhant Rishi Prabhakar. Guruji attained Maha Samadhi in 2014. His legacy is carried forward by his family and many of his disciples. Guruji has touched millions of lives and his sprit lives on through his deep love and soul full insights for life.

Philosophy

Guruji’s philosophy as presented by him in the SSY programme is inspired by the Upanishads, the Bhagvat Gita, and various other Vedic sources of knowledge. Guruji’s believed in the power of the self. He expressed the same in simple understanding headings such as leadership, responsibility, healthy eating, etc..

He believed in universal ownership, thus lived a life without a bank account, personal property or money. Guruji believed that India lost its potency due to colonial exploitation of its systems and structures. He thrived to bring back the vedic gurukulam system for children which would nurture them the “SSY” way since childhood. Guruji believed that social change is only possible through liberating and empowering the grassroots. He always believed in campaigning is offering first to the grassroots later to others.

Learnings

Guruji trained under his Guru Bhagvan Vishweshwaraiah since his childhood. Later, Upon realising his inclination towards spirituality and meditation, Guruji renounced his  corporate life in Canada and moved to Switzerland . He got trained with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Transcendental Meditation and served as his International Director.

Recognition

Soon after developing the SSY course, Guruji started working towards the betterment of society from the early 1980s. At the time, his organisations (RSVK) was among the first spiritual organisations in the country. RSVK saw its golden days from the late 1980s and onwards .

Guruji gave most important program for longitivtiy known as Kaya Kalp Kriya (KKK) to boost physical energy. To build world leaders Guruji founded Rishi Gurukulams where 100s of students experienced joyful effortless learning . Rishi Samskruti Vidya Kendra (RSVK)
